TUA Announces New Partnership with Design Within Reach

Toray Ultrasuede (America), Inc. (TUA) announces a new partnership with Design Within Reach (DWR). The new partnership expands the current product branding relationship between Ultrasuede® and DWR to now offering the full line of 96 designer upholstery colors. The full choice of designer colors will feature the new TUA EcoDesign™, 100% recycled Ultra microfiber Ultrasuede® Ambiance.

TUA and DWR combine their core design oriented strengths offering a much broader array of design choices to DWR customers. "The combination of the highly recognized high end lifestyle retailer with the most recognized high end consumer upholstery fabric brand creates a new model that makes design sense", said Des McLaughlin, Executive Director of TUA.

The Ultrasuede® EcoDesign™ recycled product is made from the company's own post industrial stream of material which is in keeping with the Toray corporate global strategy of reducing negative environmental impact on the planet. With the EcoDesign™ process TUA is able to reduce both CO² emissions and energy consumption by more that 80 percent.
